Level Up: Phase 1 Day 3
LEVEL UP- PHASE 1, DAY 3
On the 3rd of November, Team Level Up visited Kandalama Thennakoon Maha Vidyalaya for the final time, completing Phase 1 of their cluster project.
As usual, they received a warm welcome from the school administration and not long after, the students settled in for their day ahead. The tutor for the day Ms. Samya Senaratne of Campbell International School Colombo introduced herself and gave a brief overview of the days’ programme and learning outcomes.
First, the students attempted an English grammar worksheet, which they completed with the instructor's guidance. She explained the rules of grammar, questioning the students on what they knew and elaborating on what they did not.
The students, with their memory refreshed, then moved on to an English model paper. The instructor worked through every question patiently and methodically, actively interacting with the students and even helping them in oral English.
As the session paused for lunch, the Rotaractors ventured into every class in the school and distributed snacks among the children, who accepted with gleeful smiles and thankful words.
As the school day came to end, so did the session. Rtr Heshan Wickrematilake reminded the students that it was never too late to start studying and emphasized how their futures would benefit from a good English education. A student representative spoke a few earnest words on how disheartened they were by not being invited to the revision seminars of nearby schools. But they were not disappointed for long, as Team Level Up took the initiative to fulfill their needs, and because of that, they would face the coming exams with more confidence.
The students were presented with a collection of past paper books, which would serve the school well for many years to come. They were treated to refreshments for a hard day’s work.
The Rotaractors, uplifted by the students’ grateful response and the overall success of phase 1, have begun preparation for phase 2 of their project, aware that their action is eloquence.
කණ්ඩලම තෙන්නකෝන් මධ්ය මහා විද්යාලයේ පැවති LEVEL UP සාමූහික වැඩසටහනේ අවසන්අදියර පසුගිය 03 වනදා එම විද්යාලයීය පරිශ්රයේදී පැවැත්වුණා.කැම්බෙල් අන්තර්ජාතික පාසලේආචාරිනී සාම්යා සේනාරත්න මෙනවිය විසින් වැඩසටහන මෙහෙයවූ අතර ඉංග්රීසි ව්යාකරණනිවැරදිව භාවිත කිරීම පිළිබඳව ඇය වැඩසටහන පළමු භාගයේදී සිසුන් දැනුවත් කළා.
පාසල් වේලාව අවසන් වූ බැවින් සිසුන්ට පසුගිය ප්රශ්න පත්ර කට්ටල බෙදා දීමෙන් අනතුරුවවැඩසටහන නිමාවට පත්කළ අතර රොටරැක් සාමාජික හේෂාන් වික්රමතිලක විසින් ඉගෙනීමේඇති වැදගත්කම පිළිබඳව සිසුන් දැනුවත් කරමින් කතාවක් පැවැත්වුවා.වැඩසටහන අවසානයේදීපාසල නියෝජනය කරමින් එක් සිසුවෙකු තම අදහස් පලකළ අතර LEVEL UP වැඩසටහන සඳහාඔවුන්ගේ පාසල තෝරාගැනීම පිළිබඳව ස්තුතිවන්ත වුණා.වැඩසටහනේ දෙවන අදියරද සියලුදෙනාගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් සාර්ථකව නිමාවට පත්වුණා.

நவம்பர் 3ம் திகதி லெவல் அப் குழு, கந்தலமதென்னகோன் மகா வித்தியாலத்தை இறுதித் தடவையாக சென்று இக் கிளஸ்டர் திட்டத்தைநிறைவிற்கு கொண்டு வந்தனர்.
வழக்கம் போல ஒரு மகிழ்ச்சியானவரவழைப்பை பாடசாலைநிர்வாகத்தினரிடமிருந்து பெற்றனர்.மாணவர்கள் நடைபெறவிருக்கும் நாளிற்காகதங்களை தயார்ப்படுத்தினர். கொழும்பு கம்பல்சர்வதேச கல்லூரி ஆசிரியை செல்வி சாமியாசேனாரட்ன அவர்கள் தன்னைஅறிமுகப்படுத்தி அன்றைய நாளின்நிகழ்வுகளையும் பாடத் திட்டத்தையும் சுருக்கமாக விளக்கினார்.
முதலாவதாக மாணவர்கள் ஆங்கில இலக்கண பணித்தாளைஆசிரியரின் வழிகாட்டலோடு செய்தனர். இலக்கண விதி முறைகளைபடிப் படியாக விளக்கப்படுத்தினார், தெரிந்தவற்றை வினா விடை மூலம்கேட்டறிந்து தெரியாத பாகங்களை விளக்கப்படுத்தினார்.
மதிய உணவு வேளையில் ரோட்ராக்டர்ஸ் வகுப்பறைகளுக்குச் சென்று,சிற்றுண்டிகள் வழங்கினர். பிள்ளைகள் புன்னகையுடனும் நன்றியுடனும்அவற்றை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர்.
பாடம் மறுபடியும் தொடங்கியது, புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்ட மாணவர்கள்வினாத்தாளிற்கு ஆர்வத்துடன் விடை எழுதினர். ரோட்ராக்டர்ஸ்மாணவர்களை கண்காணித்து கடினமான பாகங்களில் வேண்டியதனிப்பட்ட உதவியை கொடுத்தனர்.
பாடசாலை நாள் முடிவுடன் இந்த கருத்தரங்கும் முடிவுக்கு வந்தது.ஆங்கிலக் கல்வி ஒருவரின் எதிர் காலத்திற்கு அனுகூலமானது என்றும் Rtrஹெஷான் விக்ரமதிலக நினைவு கூறினார். மாணவ பிரதிநிதி ஒருவர்,தாங்கள் பக்கத்து பாடசாலைகளில் நடைபெற்ற கருத்தரங்குகளில்பங்குபெற அழைப்பிதழை பெறவில்லை என்று கவலைப்பட்டார்.ஆனால் லெவல் அப் குழு எடுத்துக் கொண்ட முயற்சியினால்மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்து எதிர் வரும் பரீட்சையை முகம்கொடுக்கதேவையான தன்நம்பிக்கையை தாங்கள் பெற்றுள்ளனர் என்றும் தெரிவித்தார்.
வினாத்தாள் தொகுப்பு பாடசாலைக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது, இது எதிர்காலத்தில் பாடசாலைக்கு உதவியாக இருக்கும். மாணவர்களின் கடினஉழைப்புக்காக அவர்களுக்கு சிற்றுண்டி வழங்கப்பட்டது.
மாணவர்களின் நன்றியினாலும் ஆர்வத்தினாலும் புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்டுரோட்ராக்டர்ஸ் திட்டத்தின் 2ஆம் கட்டத்திற்கு தயார்ப்படுத்ததொடங்கியுள்ளனர்.
