The Rotaract Club of Faculty of Law University of Colombo

As a Club Service initiative, it was the opinion of many current Club members that the new batch of undergraduates should be given the opportunity to join Rotaract and reap its benefits. Hence, the idea came into effect under the guidance of the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Student Counsellor and the current Board Members of the Club.During the week of the orientation, the Club members spoke to the undergraduates about what Rotaract is and attempted to popularize the essence of what Rotaract stands for in today's society. Presentations were showcased, past Rotaractors participated and the project, hence, was a success owing to the number of recruitments that came in the aftermath. Pages With Love is the annual book donation project of the Rotaract club of Faculty of Law, University of Colombo visited Anamaduwa Kannangara Vidyalaya on 26th January 2016 for the purpose of don ating 1500 books which were collected courtesy of a large number of donors who contributed to the project Pages With Love, elevating the project to the level of the most successful community service project the club has completed so far,for the current Rotaract year. The Initial target was around 750 but as a result of the publicity we gave via social media, a vast number of donors enthusiastically donated a large number of books which doubled our target.It was eye pleasing to see an almost empty library of a school being filled with 1500 books.
