Project Serve belongs to a series of Community Service Projects conducted by the District 3220 on Poya Day of each month. The Rotaract Clubs of Faculty of Law and Faculty of Science of University of Colombo and the Rotaract Club Of IIT jointly organized its phase 10 targeting Bak Full Moon Poya Day of the Month of April. The clubs initial plan was to spend the day with the the war heroes at Ranaviru Sevana but was changed due to the New Year holidays. The three clubs agreed on organizing a Flower Donation Campaign for the pilgrims who visit Pillawa Raja Maha Viharaya on the poya day. Flowers were gathered by the collective effort of the members of the clubs. More than thousand flowers were donated among around 100 pilgrims during the dansala. The project was an effort appreciated by the reverend monks of the temple as well as the pilgrims and was concluded at about 5.30p.m.
The main objective of the project was to inspire Rotaractors to serve the community even at a small scale as even a small help we and a little bit of kindness we may go a long way. This project was carried out also with the intention of enhancing the religious and ethnic harmony among Rotaractors; which leads to serve the community without boundaries. It was also expected to strengthen the bond among the clubs and  to improve the fellowship between the clubs and the District.Through this project, the Rotaractors were able to experience the joy of giving and to show sympathy and care towards each other.
